The Fiskars Brands Scholarship Program assists employees’ children who plan to pursue post-secondary education. Scholarships are awarded to current high school seniors (or equivalent grades outside of the United States) for full time study at an accredited four-year college or university of the student’s choice. Each recipient receives a $5,000 scholarship.
Scholarship America, an independent nonprofit organization that specializes in awarding scholarship awards, administers the program. Winners are selected on the basis of a number of factors, including past academic record, leadership and participation in school and community activities, honors, and potential to succeed. No one from Fiskars is involved with the selection process.
