FISKARS BRANDS, INC. Acquires CMG Equipment

Portland, OR - Fiskars Brands Inc., a leading global manufacturer and marketer of branded consumer and industrial products, announced today that it has acquired the assets and assumed certain liabilities of CMG Equipment LLC. CMG, a privately held company founded in 1998, is a leading manufacturer and marketer of Light Emitting Diode (L.E.D.)- based portable outdoor lighting products. As a result of the acquisition, the CMG product line will be integrated into Fiskars Brands' Outdoor Recreation group under the Gerber Legendary Blades brand, and the company's operations will be relocated from Chicago, Illinois to Portland, Oregon.
The worldwide portable lighting category is valued at over $3 billion, of which L.E.D-based products currently comprise but a small percentage. Industry forecasts expect the technology to dominate the sector within the next 10 years, offering a significant long-term growth opportunity.
